Regrouting a tile shower can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. With the right tools and a bit of patience, you can quickly and easily regrout your tile shower and make it look as good as new. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of regrouting your tile shower, from start to finish.

Step 1: Gather the Necessary Tools and Supplies

Before you begin, you need to make sure that you have all of the necessary tools and supplies. You will need a grout removal tool, a bucket, a sponge, a grout float, a grout sealer, a grout colorant, and a grout mixer. You may also need a sealant applicator and a grout saw, depending on the type of tile you have.

Step 2: Remove the Old Grout

Once you have all of the necessary tools and supplies, you can begin to remove the old grout. Start by using the grout removal tool to scrape away the old grout. Once you have removed all of the old grout, use the sponge and bucket to clean the area. Make sure that all of the old grout is removed and the surface is clean before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Apply the New Grout

Once the area is clean and free of all old grout, you can begin to apply the new grout. Start by mixing the grout with a grout mixer according to the manufacturer’s directions. Once the grout is mixed, use the grout float to spread the grout into the joints between the tiles. Make sure to apply the grout evenly and fill all of the joints. Allow the grout to dry for 24 hours before moving on to the next step.

Step 4: Apply the Grout Sealer and Grout Colorant

Once the grout has dried completely, you can apply the grout sealer and grout colorant. Start by using a sealant applicator to apply the grout sealer to the joints. Allow the sealant to dry for 24 hours. Once the sealant is dry, use a grout colorant to tint the grout. Make sure to apply the colorant evenly and allow it to dry before moving on to the next step.

Step 5: Finish Up

Once the grout colorant has dried, you can finish up the job. Use the grout saw to cut away any excess grout that may have been applied and use the sponge and bucket to clean the area. Once you have finished, you should have a perfectly regrouted tile shower!
