Preparing Your Cleaning Supplies
Before you start cleaning your shower glass doors, it’s important to have the right supplies. You’ll need a mild detergent or all-purpose cleaner, a soft cloth or sponge, and a squeegee. If needed, you can also use a spray bottle filled with a mixture of vinegar and water. Additionally, you may need to use some scouring powder and a heavy-duty scrubbing brush to remove any stubborn dirt and grime.
Removing Soap Scum
Soap scum can make your shower glass doors look grungy and unappealing. To remove it, you’ll need to use a mild detergent or all-purpose cleaner. Make sure to lightly dampen your cloth or sponge before applying the cleaner. Rub the cleaner into the soap scum using circular motions and then rinse it off with water. If the soap scum is particularly stubborn, you may need to use a scouring powder and a heavy-duty scrubbing brush.
Cleaning the Glass
Once the soap scum is removed, it’s time to clean the glass. To do this, use a soft cloth or sponge and a mild detergent or all-purpose cleaner. Make sure to apply the cleaner in a circular motion and then rinse it off with water. If there is any dirt or grime that won’t come off with a cloth or sponge, you can use a spray bottle filled with a mixture of vinegar and water. Spray it on the affected area and allow it to sit for a few minutes before scrubbing it off with a cloth or sponge.
Drying the Glass
Once the glass is clean, it’s important to dry it properly. The best way to do this is to use a squeegee. Start at the top of the shower glass door and work your way down. Make sure to wipe the squeegee off after each swipe to prevent streaks from forming. Once the squeegee has been used, use a soft cloth to dry any remaining moisture.
